Samuel Zdan

Peacefully, on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at his home in Alonsa, Sam passed away at the age of 96 years.  

Sam leaves to cherish his memory his eight children, Carol (Russell) Cabak and family Shawn (Lynn), Chanel, & Ranae, Vaughn (Laura) Aidan & Taryn, Nadine (Bill) & Draycen, Don (Audrey) Zdan and family; Dustin (Kara), Erin, Holly and Delaney, Marty (Jana) Cash & Knox, Brandy, & Aaron, Audrey (Rae) Tanner and family Brad (Leah), Eric, Kendall & Jake, Tara (Chris) & Torian, Irene (Ron) Ross and family Lee Anne (Dean) Courtney, Morgan and Evan, Travis (Chantal) Jacy, Noah & Sophia, Pauline (Bob) Calder and family Shane, Brett (Jayla) & Finn, Leonard (Bonnie) Zdan and family Tyler (Chalani), Cory (Zabrina) and Blair (Hannah), Maxine (Wayne) Bruce and family Dane, Damara (Chad) & Kadence, Cheryl (Jim) Watling and family Braiden (Sara), Cody & Kristy, his sisters Effie, Pauline, Eleanor (Erle), brother Edward (Sherian) and Elaine along with numerous nieces and nephews.  

He has been reunited with his wife Annie, his parents Nettie and John, his in-laws Hattie and Stephen, his brothers Tom and Mike, his sisters Victoria, Ellie, Anne & Hattie, his in laws John, Mike, John (Dora), Alec (Lorraine), Minnie (Nick), Fred, Mary (Frank) and Sharon.  

Your memory is a keepsake of which we will never part .  

God has you in his arms, we have you in our hearts.

Prayers were offered on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 7:00 pm from the St. George's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Alonsa, MB 

A Funeral Liturgy was held for Samuel on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 11:00 am from the Alonsa Community Centre in Alonsa with Father Emil Kardasenic officiating.  

Interment followed in the St. George's Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery in Alonsa, MB.

Should friends so desire, donations in memory of Samuel may be made to St. George's Ukrainian Catholic Church Fund, Box 37, Alonsa, R0H 0A0 or to a charity of one's choice.
