Rita Boyechko

Rita Boyechko of Toutes Aides, Manitoba passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at the age of 71 years.

Our mother leaves us with many wonderful memories of her life.  Mom was born in Winnipegosis to Fred & Alice McNichol on July 18, 1946.  She was raised in Duck Bay, MB where she attended school.  
Mom loved to go with her dad across the lake with the horses and sleigh buggy to haul wood to bring home.  She always talked about how she wished she could do it again.  In her teenage years she spent time on a commercial fishing boat during the summers.  She was not scared to jump in and get her hands dirty.  

Mom met her soulmate, our dad Peter Boyechko whom she married on October 14, 1965.  Mom and Dad settled in Toutes Aides where they built their home to make memories with their family.  In addition to raising her seven children, Mom worked in the community with "MOP Squard" cleaning homes in the area.  Mom worked at the Rorketon Hotel for a few years when she had time after looking after her 6 large gardens.  She was always kept busy canning, baking and raising small farm animals.  

Mom looked after her mom and her brother Walter until their passings.  She had a huge heart for family.  Anyone who knows Mom would know her for the famous tasty perogies she made.  She loved to make someone laugh and was known for her quick wit.  She will be missed by all who knew her.  

Mom will remembered by her beloved sister that she loved dearly; Violet Sanderson of Dauphin, Dorine McNichol of Winnipeg.  She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish many fond memories; her children Ronald (Val) and  children Chrissy, Monica and Chassidy, Bernadine (Teddy) and children Crystal, Curtis, Kyle and Samantha, Leona (Gary) and children Ashley, Correen & Jeremiah, Leo (Janice) and children Destiny, Justin and Vanessa, Sandra (Paul) and daughter Alison, Gerry and children Dustin, Dylan & Amy, Edith (Trevor) and children Tia-Lee & Trista.  

Prayers were offered on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 5:00 pm in the Sneath-Strilchuk - Ste. Rose Chapel in Ste. Rose du Lac.  

A Funeral Liturgy was held for Rita on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 11:00 am from the Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Rorketon with Very Rev Father Oleg Bodnarski officiating.  

Interment followed in the Toutes Aides Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery .
