Wilda Anne Fisher

It is with sadness that the family of Wilda Fisher announce her passing in Grandview on Friday, July 10, 2020 at the age of 90 years.  
Wilda Annie Fisher (nee Cords) was born on June 12, 1930 in Grandview, MB to Winnie and William Cords. She grew up on the family farm in Pleasant Valley and attended country school there. 
As a young woman, she met and married the love of her life, Allen Fisher. Al and Wilda farmed in the Pleasant Valley area for many years.
Wilda was a meticulous record keeper and wrote daily in her diaries. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and kept a very tidy household.  She loved to host friends and family and was an exceptional aunt to her many nieces and nephews.  She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity and wittiness.   
Eventually a decline in Al’s health required them to retire and move into town.  While living in town she was involved with the United Church, the Pleasant Valley Community Club and continued to be a gracious hostess in her home.  She was a member of the Grandview Health Care Auxiliary, the Grandview Drop Inn Center and board member of the Grandview Personal Care Home. Wilda spent many hours at the Senior's Park in Grandview.
Wilda is predeceased by her husband, Al; brothers, Harry and Robert (Lorene) Cords; sister-in-law, Gertrude and other extended family members.  
She is survived by brother, Allen, many nieces and nephews and other extended family.
A Graveside Service was held for Wilda on Friday, July 17, 2020 at 2:00 pm from the Grandview Memorial Gardens & District Cemetery in Grandview, MB with Rev. Karen Kuzek officiating.
