Wayne Edward Corden
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Wayne Edward Corden on November 15, 2024.
Wayne is survived by his daughters Vicky and Dana, brother John Corden (Charlene), nephews Mason and Kyle, and niece Wendy. Wayne also leaves behind his 6 dogs whom he loved dearly.
Wayne was predeceased by his parents Charles Corden in 1990, and Ann Corden in 2008.
Wayne was born in McCreary, MB on June 14, 1959 and grew up in Birch River, MB. Throughout his life he worked many interesting jobs. To highlight a few, he worked at HBM&S in Flin Flon, Amisk Drill Camp, bartending in Cranberry Portage, guiding at Reed Lake, building playgrounds with Nelson Rusk, and driving semi trucks to Pine Falls and The Pas.
Wayne loved animals and his love for dogs showed. He had a big heart that made it hard for him to turn away a dog that needed a home. His 6 dogs brought so much happiness and love in his life. Wayne also loved to fish and he was a natural out on Reed Lake. He was skilled at mechanics, carpentry and electrical. He was very mechanically inclined, and incredibly intelligent. He once scored very high on an IQ test that shocked the teachers at his school.
Wayne lived until his last day on the farm he grew up on. The family wish to thank long time friend, Wayne Reimer, for all that he did for Wayne.
There will be a private gathering in Wayne’s honour at a later date.
