Wallace Cyril Costello
December 28, 1932 – July 12, 2025
Peacefully with his son by his side Wallace Cyril Costello passed away July 12, 2025 at St. Paul’s Personal Care Home. Dauphin, Manitoba.
Wally was born in Wainwright, Alberta to Private James Abel Costello and Martha Rubina May Costello (nee Clarke). Wally spent his youth growing up in Stonewall, Manitoba graduated from Stonewall Collegiate. He worked after school at Dyck Langtry Garage while he was learning the plumbing trade from his brother Wilbert. The two worked together until Wilbert’s sudden passing in 1964.
On July 21, 1962, Wally married Audrey Babs Piche. Their marriage of almost 63 years was blessed by the births of their 6 children, 11 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 4 great- great-grandchildren.
Married in Stonewall, the family moved to Winnipeg in 1965. For many years Wally worked for the Manitoba Government, retiring in 1995. Wally and Audrey along with their eldest son Greg traveled throughout Europe, United Kingdom and North America. During his retirement years Wally and Audrey made a new home for themselves in Dauphin, Manitoba.
Wally is survived by his loving wife Audrey, their children Gregory, Yvonne, Karen, Sharon, Kevin and Wally, their grandchildren Misty, Kenny, Michael, Laura, Chantelle, Brandy, Amanda, Anthony, Samantha, Kateishia and Callie, as well as 32 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Wally is predeceased by his parents, his brother and his stepsister.
Wally spent his final days in the St. Paul’s Personal Care Home in Dauphin. Our family is tremendously grateful for the kindness and care shown to our father during his time there.

A viewing was held for Wallace on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 1:00 pm with a Funeral Service following at 2:00 pm from the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, 433 Main Street in Stonewall, Manitoba.
