Victoria Mary Paskaruk (Maksymetz) of Ethelbert, Manitoba passed away peacefully at the Gilbert Plains Care Home on Monday, November 25, 2019  at the age of 84 years.
Victoria was born at home on the family farm in Mink Creek, MB on May 24, 1935 to Mike and Francis (Plawicki) Maksymetz. Victoria attended Borshaw School until grade nine. She then went to Gilbert Plains Collegiate to finish her schooling. Victoria worked for one season at Abitibi Pulp and Paper Company as a cooks helper.
 On June 12, 1952 Victoria married Harry Paskaruk at Holy Trinity Church in Mink Creek. They took up residence in Mink Creek and operated the grocery store. Victoria and Harry had six children there. After the closing of the store, Victoria became a foster mother for three children. She also worked for Shay-Ron's Grocers in Gilbert Plains, MB. Victoria was an active member of the Mink Creek Holy Trinity Church. She belonged to the sisterhood and was also secretary for the parish, and she was a member of the church choir. Victoria also sang in the Vitriwka Choir in Ethelbert, MB. Victoria loved to garden and can her harvest.  She especially loved her flower bed. She also loved when all her children and grandchildren came home to visit as well as her brother Walter who lived down the road.
Left to mourn her passing are her son, Michael Paskaruk of Ethelbert, MB; daughter, Constance Faucher of St. Malo, MB; son, Morris Paskaruk and wife, Eileen of Mink Creek, MB; son, Glenn Paskaruk and wife Leanne of Winnipeg, MB, daughter-in-law Sandra Paskaruk of The Pas, MB; also grandchildren and great grandchildren to numerous to mention.
Victoria was predeceased by her father, Michael Maksymetz in 1988; mother, Francis Maksymetz (Plawicki) in 2000; son, Father Ken Paskaruk in 1992; husband, Harry Paskaruk in 2015; brother, Walter Maksymetz in 2017; son, Arnold Paskaruk in 2018.
Special thanks to all the staff at the Gilbert Plains Care Home and Dr. Sandra Clark for their special love and care. Thank you to Fr. Yaroslav Strykhlyak, also cantor Jason Gulenchin, crossbearer Bob Derkach and thank you to all the pallbearers.

Prayers were offered on Friday, November 29, 2019 at 7:00 pm from Sneath Strilchuk Family Care Centre.

A Funeral Liturgy was held for Victoria on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 1:00 pm from the Mink Creek Ukrainian Catholic Church in Mink Creek with Rev Father Yaroslav Strukhlyak officiating.  

Interment followed in the Mink Creek Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery.
