Verna Wilson

It is with the deepest sorrow we share news of the death of Verna Wilson, who, after many years courageously battling cancer, succumbed to her illness on July 5, 2025.

Verna was born on May 30, 1944 in Miami, Manitoba and died on July 5, 2025 in Dauphin, Manitoba. She just recently celebrated her 81st birthday with all of her family in attendance.

Verna and Ralph Wilson lived their entire married life in Dauphin, Manitoba. They raised three children, Sherri Beattie (Regina, SK), Diana Wilson (Dauphin, MB) and Garth Wilson (Brandon, MB). She was the proud loving grandmother of three grandchildren, Caden Wilson (Garth & Donna Wilson), Briana Beattie (Sherri & Rick Beattie) and Kiara Wilson (Diana Wilson).

Verna always had an extremely strong love for life, family, friends and held a very special place in her heart for animals. She will be missed dearly by those whose lives she touched in her 81 years of life.

She is now at peace in Heaven with her mom and dad Doris and Peter Matychuk; brother Fred Matychuk; oldest sister Patricia Abraham and survived by her youngest sister Elsie Prok; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.  

May you finally be at peace, Verna.

It was the wishes of Verna to not have a funeral.  A private service will be held for family at a later date.
