Tom Monson of Dauphin, Manitoba passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025 at the age of 74 years.

Tom was born at the Dauphin General Hospital to the delight of his family. He attended schools in Dauphin until high school when he attended St. Joe’s in Yorkton.

In 1970 he met the love of his life, and they were married in 1972. Tom started his career with the CNR in 1971 and worked his way up to engineer. He retired from the CNR in 2001 then went to school and took a course to become a paramedic and worked there until 2020.

After his retirement, he volunteered at the Dauphin Food Bank. He spent many hours doing whatever he could till the summer of 2024 when cancer slowed him down.

Tom loved all his family and friends and enjoyed many hours fishing, golfing and hunting with them. Tom was also a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

In 1999 Tom and his wife traveled to Salt Lake City where they were remarried for all eternity.

Tom was predeceased by his parents, Willard and Elsie, his mother and father-in-law Norris and Beryl Aitken; niece Kim; granddaughter Cassie; sister-in-law, Norrie Ann; brothers-in-law Allan and George.
