Sylvia Plawucki Obituary

Sylvia Plawucki of Winnipeg, formerly of Dauphin, Manitoba passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021.

Now I am resting and free of pain and worry.  Thank you Lord.  My name is Sylvia (Sevala) Plawucki.  I was born in 1939 on the family’s homestead in Petlura to Paul and Mary Stadnyk.  My mother died in June 1950. I was 11.  Nobody to teach me how to be a good mother.  I tried my best, oh well, you adapt.  All I ever wanted was a home and a family.  I had 4 sons, no girls.  I was married at 15 years old.  My first son Wayne was born in 1956 when I was 17.  Wayne died in June 1977.  My #2 son Brian was born in November 1957, he died in January 1959.  I miss them and love them so much, there is no such thing as closure.  I wonder what life would have been like to have all 4 with me to share the good and bad in life.  My #3 son was born September 1960 and that’s when my health started going down. Constant back pain.  Thank god for Tylenol.  In 1965 #4 son was born.  The years of hard work and pain.

By 1989 my sons were on their own and had families of their own.  That same year after 27 years I found my most longed-for friend and soulmate, Bob Hunt.  25 years came and went.  We were together and our last day was as good as our first.  To Bob… Thank you for the wonderful memories.  I looked to you for happiness, and you were by my side.  We cared together and shared together the joys of life.  I learned from you how precious life and love has been.

Goodbye to my family, I have loved you to the very last…survived by son Wade and his wife Jocelyn and their daughter Tara, son Darren (Dino) and his wife Linda and their two children Ryan (Jessica) and Jamie (Jordan); granddaughter Kelly and her children Randeen and Joey.  The newest addition a great great granddaughter Sofia Rose.
