Steve Negrich of Dauphin passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at the age of 85 years.
Steve was born March 20, 1935 in Shevlin, MB to parents, Nick and Pearl Negrich. He was one of 12 brothers and sisters and grew up on the family farm. Steve ventured out from the farm and worked many years at several different mines. He later returned to Dauphin and worked on a farm for a few more years. Steve then decided to try his hand in Alberta in the construction industry, where he worked until his retirement.
Steve is survived by his special friend of many years, Catherine; his daughters, Donna and Darlene; his grandchildren and also his four sisters and many nieces and nephews. Steve enjoyed going hunting with family and friends, going for car rides to check out the scenery and being out in the public and chatting with people or going for coffee.
Due to the pandemic, a private service was held on Friday, April 3, 2020 at 11:00 am from Sneath-Strilchuk Family Care Centre in Dauphin, MB with Rev. Father Brent Kuzyk officiating. Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery - Dauphin in Dauphin, MB. Pallbearers were Morris Negrich, Trey Negrich, John Dulewich, Dave Yunker, Steve Zurba, Ron Porter.
