Stella (Brezden) Ganchar of Dauphin, MB passed away at St. Paul’s Personal Care Home on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at the age of 88 years.
Stella was born on June 8, 1930 to Michael and Lena Brezden (nee Derhak). She was the only daughter with five brothers, Metro (Florence), Peter (Shirley), Melvin (Margaret), Henry (Elsie), and Archie (Leona).
Stella married Walter Ganchar in 1948. Together they farmed by Mink Creek and raised their two sons, Lawrence and Stephen. Stella always had a large garden and a freezer full of homemade food. She loved her flower gardens.
When Walter retired from farming they sold the farm and moved into Dauphin in 1998. In 2003 Stella moved into St. Paul’s Personal Care Home.
Stella always enjoyed visits from friends and family. She especially enjoyed visits from her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Stella was predeceased by her husband, Walter, two sons, Lawrence and Stephen, brothers Melvin, Henry and Archie.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Jenna (Tyler) and Keegan (Amanda), great grandchildren Keyarrah and Zaida, as well as brothers, Metro (Florence) and Peter (Shirley).
She also leaves behind many other in-laws, nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service was held for Stella on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 2:00 pm from the Sneath-Strilchuk Family Care Centre in Dauphin with Father John Legitimas officiating.
Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery.
