It is with heavy hearts that the family of Scott Hafenbrak, of Winnipegosis, announce his passing on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at the age of 58 years.
Scott attended school in Winnipegosis until Grade 10 when he went to work for a commercial fisherman for a number of years. He also worked for Midwest Drilling in Manitoba. He then returned to help on the family farm and resided in Winnipegosis until his death. While his brothers and sister were away at school, it was Scott who did so much to help out whether it was repairing things, buying furniture or making sure there was food on the table. He enjoyed hunting and golfing. He also enjoyed going on his daily walks and stopping to talk to people. He also enjoyed working in his garden. Scott lived a quiet, simple life. He hated to buy something new when he could fix it himself. He was still driving his 1985 Toyota truck that he had bought brand new (although it did have its fair share of duct tape holding it together).
Scott was a firm believer in the organ transplant program, so please register and tell your family your wishes.
He is predeceased by his father Charles; grandma Ethel Jamieson; grandpa Art Jamieson; uncle Max Hafenbrak; aunt Darlene(Ed) Olinyk; stepdad Josie Bobinski; grandparents Tom and Vera Hafenbrak, and other extended family members.
He is survived by his mother Sheila; sister Sheila, brothers, Sandy, Shawn(Cindy), and Stephen(Jodi); nieces and nephews Chris, Kyle, Jenna, Emma, Ryann; aunt Winnie Koroluk, aunt Jean Styranko, aunt Maxine Lindsay, aunt Shirley (Bob) Found, aunt Muriel (Frank) Porada, uncle Ken (Marlene) Hafenbrak, aunt Sandra (Jerry) Yerama and extended family members.
If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice or The Manitoba Kidney Foundation.
In accordance with Scott's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
