It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Savannah Jade Hunter on Saturday, August 5, 2023.
Savannah leaves to mourn her children – Roman, Paris, Nirvana and their father (her partner), Triston Boulanger. Her parents – Michael Hunter and Connie Chartrand. Her siblings – Tesla Hunter, Christian Hunter, Ethan Hunter, and Cody Sinclair. Her grandmothers – Cecilia Chartrand and Dora Smith. Special aunt Fern Henderson (Vince), Aunts – Renee Chartrand, Jolene Sumner, and Gwen Hunter (Cecil Houle). Uncles Tony Irwin (Maria), Barry Hunter (Melodie), and Tommy Hunter (Mary Eastman). Also, numerous cousins, friends and extended family.
Savannah was pre-deceased by her great grandparents – Andre and Pauline Chartrand, Louis and Louisa Hunter. Special aunt Sheri Lyn Smith, cousins Jourdan Lee Contois and Jordan Lee Malcolm.
Savannah was born in Winnipeg, MB on September 19, 1995. She already had a sister then followed her two younger brothers. She grew up a happy, loving child. She had lots of friends and was very smart and gifted in school. She dreamed of finishing her education. Her goal was to work with children to become an Educational Assistant. Savannah liked alternative rock music like her parents and hence the name of her baby girl. She liked a variety of music. Savannah was a very loving mother who cared deeply for her children. Savannah loved everyone and made everyone laugh with her wit and charm.
A wake and prayer service will begin on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 5:00 pm in the Ebb and Flow Community Complex, Ebb and Flow First Nation. Prayers will be offered at the complex at 7:00 pm. Family and friends who wish to escort Savannah to Ebb and Flow are asked to meet at Sneath-Strilchuk's Ste. Rose Chapel on Wednesday at 4:15 pm.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the Ebb and Flow Community Complex, Ebb and Flow First Nation. Fr. Patrick Neufeld will officiate. Interment will follow in the Ebb and Flow Cemetery
