Sandor Horvath

Sandor John Horvath, age 84 years of Waterhen, MB, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2021 at the Winnipegosis Personal Care Home.
Sandor was born on August 15, 1936 in Kissomlyo, Hungary, to Jozsef Horvath and Ilona Horvath (nee Rozsas). Sandor came to Canada in 1957. He married the love of his life, Martha, August 13, 1966, in Skownan, MB. They spent 54 wonderful years together, in love and had 4 beautiful children. 

Sandor worked for over 30 years at the Manitoba Sugar Company in Winnipeg, MB, until the plant closed down in 1996. 
Sandor then retired and left Winnipeg. Sandor and Martha moved to Waterhen, MB, where they settled into retirement along the Waterhen River. Sandor took great pride in his family and home, and loved when family and friends would come and visit. Some retirement time was spent helping raise his two special grand daughters, Kaitlyn and Samantha. 

Sandor was diagnosed with dementia in 2019. He was moved into the Winnipegosis Personal Care Home in April 2020. 
Sandor is survived by his wife, Martha (nee Nepinak), Sons Joseph (Jeannette), Leslie (Shannon;) Daughters Cathy (Joe), Ann (Paul), Grandchildren Kimberly (John), Kayla (Chris), Joseph, Amanda (Ray), Kayla, Madison, Lucas, Anthony (Erin), Nisa, Kaitlyn (Mitchell), Samantha, Naomi (Matthew), Kelsey; Great Grandchildren, Elizabeth, Aalayah, Aiden, Logan, Ashton, Mickayla, Marlie, Maiclyn; Sister Jutka (Gyozo) Mezo; and numerous nieces and nephews that he thought of dearly. 

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place at a later date with family and friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Carleton and all the wonderful staff at the Winnipegosis & District Health Centre and the personal Care Home. Thank You to all friends and family that came out to visit.
