Rudolph Widenmaier Obituary

Rudy Widenmaier, age 76 passed away peacefully surrounded by love at the Grandview Care Home on June 22, 2025.

He was born on March 7, 1949 in Invermay, SK to his parents George and Florence Widenmaier. He worked for CN Rail for 25 years. You would always find him working in the garden or doing something in the yard. He loved camping, fishing and watching the birds. He enjoyed making pickles, watching nature shows, westerns and grabbing a burger at A & W with his grand daughter Tiffany. He was very kind and generous to everyone he crossed paths with.

Rudy was predeceased by his wife Betty; his brothers Fred, John, Ronald and Stanley; his sister Mary; brothers- in-law Matt and John; sister- in- law Gail; and great grand daughter Halle.

Rudy is survived by his children Cory (Erin), Tamara, David (Pam) and Arla (Gene); siblings Doris, Violet, Margaret, Melvin, Albert, Gordon, Allan, Herman and their partners; grandchildren Tiffany (Erik), Tyler (Kaili), Brandon, Devon, Marin and Dawson; great grandchildren Jane and Mckennah; nieces and nephews Lori (Adam), Shirley, Kyle, Tyson, Liz, David, Chris and Shelby; along with numerous family members and friends.

A Funeral Service was held at the St. Paul's Anglican Church on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at 2:30 pm with Rev Barry Nodolny officiating.

Interment followed in the Riverside Cemetery in Dauphin, MB.

If friends so desire, donations in memory of Rudolph may be made to the Alzheimer Association or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
