Peacefully after a short stay at St. Paul’s Personal Care Home, Leonard “Royce” Hall passed away December 15, 2025.
Born October 30, 1941 to Benjamin Hall and Letitia (Nee Whyte) Hall, Royce was the pride of their life. Royce often talked about his short service in the Canadian Navy visiting far away ports like China, and being a member in the Canadian Legion. He worked as a hospital orderly in Winnipeg, where he met Eunice Gieb. They married May 22, 1965 and had their three children a few years later. Royce went on to work for Canada Post, moving their family to Stony Mountain, where Eunice lives to this day.
Later, Royce moved back to Dauphin and married Betsy Toews. They resided in Dauphin until a few years ago when they moved to Newdale. Betsy passed away and Royce continued to live in Newdale until declining health saw the need for personal care.
Royce is survived by his three children; Renea (Stan) Engen of Dauphin, Dannielle Hall of Stony Mountain, and Randy Hall of Winnipeg. He also is survived by grandchildren Sarah (Derek) Weigelt of Everett, Washington, Sharla (Jayme) Griffiths of McLean, Saskatchewan, Jeannie Hall of Stony Mountain, Heidi Hall, Wendy Hall and Jackson Hall of Winnipeg, and two great-grandchildren, extended family and step children Wendy, Carmen, Sandi, their husbands and friends.
The family would like to offer a thank you to the staff of St. Paul’s Personal Care Home for the care and kindness provided to Royce in his last days. Also, thank you to the friends and family that supported him in his last days.
Cremation has taken place and interment will follow at a later date.
