Roy Sedorski Obituary

Born May 19, 1929, in Shevlin, MB - Passed away February 25, 2024, in Roblin, MB

It is with deep sadness that the Sedorski family announces on February 25, 2024, that their patriarch, Roy Sedorski, of Roblin, Manitoba, passed away while surrounded by family at the age of 94. Roy is survived by his wife Ella of 57 years, children Rosemary (Jay), Rosanne (Dave), Valerie, and Marlene; his seven grandchildren, Steven (Kim), Courtney (Simon), Dustin (Amy), Damian (Chantal), Devin (Elaine), Jasmine (Izaak) and Owen; and seven great grandchildren Peyton, Brooklyn, Kennedy, Connor, Ivy, Theo, Seth and his siblings Adolph, Joe and Andy. He was predeceased to heaven by his parents, Joseph and Ida, and his siblings, Mary, Sadie, Vic, Emil, Linda, Herb and his son-in-law Anthony.

While we lost our most beloved patriarch, others have lost a friend and loved one in him. Family meant everything to Roy, and they would describe him as the strongest man they knew. He instilled the strong family values which have been embedded in his children and passed on to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Roy was well known for his set opinions, humor and his enjoyment to engage in a conversation about almost anything with anyone who would be willing to listen. Roy had an inability to give up and he demonstrated it to the very end.

A heartfelt thank you to the Crocus team who took care of our father, especially in the last few weeks. We truly appreciate all the support that was given during an extremely challenging time for us. It is gratifying to know our dad had such a memorable impact on all those he interacted with during his stay at Crocus. Special thanks to Evelyn for making such a difficult day somewhat more comforting.

As requested by Roy, no funeral service will be held following his passing. His final resting place will be within the Mountains of Canmore, AB. A private interment will take place the summer of 2024. For those who feel inclined, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or Diabetes in Canada - Diabetes Canada
