Rose Todosey age 87 of Dauphin, MB passed away on January 21, 2026 at the Ste. Rose du Lac Hospital. She was born March 23, 1938 in Ethelbert, MB to Nellie and Julian Doskoch. She was raised on the family farm near Ethelbert, where she also attended the Belle Creek School.
In 1954 she married Peter Todosey from Ukraina, MB. They resided and worked in Edmonton, AB for 4 years. They moved back to the farm close to Ukraina, where Rose worked on the farm raising livestock, gardening, field work and cooking. She was mechanically inclined and could fix just about anything. She worked in Ethelbert and later in Dauphin in the cleaning service industry.
She retired in Dauphin. She met Frank Stashko and they were together for about 21 years until Frank’s passing in 2012. She enjoyed Bingo, knitting, crocheting, sewing, gardening, ice fishing, motor boating, traveling with her sister Matilda and she loved listening to Ukrainian music. She liked visiting with all her friends at Bingo in the community and her neighbors. Her greatest pride and joy were her children, their spouses, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was “Baba” to everyone!
Left to cherish her memory are her children; Florence (Vincent) Flaterud, Arnold Todosey, Hazel (Stan) DeGruyter, Lorraine Todosey, Lawrence (Stacey) Todosey; grandchildren Morghan Flaterud, Conrad (Markie) Flaterud, Danielle Thompson, Ashley Hanson, Holly (Mitch) Tilden, Shalane (Nick) Friesen, Scott DeGruyter, Adrian Hrabarchuk, Cory Hrabarchuk, Dayna Todosey, Mayson Todosey and Brayden Todosey; great grandchildren Avery Flaterud, Jackson Flaterud, Sawyer Flaterud, Stanley Thompson, Rose Thompson, Levi Tilden, Gabriella Tilden and Calvin Friesen; daughter in law Kyla Todosey; sister Mary Peniuk, one niece, two nephews along with family friend June Todosey.
She was predeceased by her parents; sister Matilda; brother Michael; son Arthur; parents in law; son in law Blair; the father of her children Peter; six brother in laws and three sister in laws.
RIP Mom, Baba and G Baba (Great Baba).

The celebration of Life Memorial and interment are planned for the spring of 2026.
