In Loving Memory of Rosella Dilling (née Paul)
August 7, 1948 – May 28, 2025
With deep sorrow, the family of Rosella Dilling announces her passing on May 28, 2025, at the age of 76, in Roblin, Manitoba.
Rosella was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be dearly missed by her devoted husband, William C. Dilling, and her children: Judy (Chester Donaldson), Cary, Terrence, Darcy, Lyle (Leanne), and Lennice.
She was a proud and loving grandmother to Mitchall Donaldson (Melissa), Erica Donaldson, Fallon, Reanna, Harley, Kianna, Ryan Tartaglia, and Danielle Tartaglia; and great-grandmother to Karlee, Keerah, Kiera, and Anabella.
Rosella is also lovingly remembered by her brother Lennice “Tonto” Paul (Linda), brother-in-law Armand Lucier, nephew Lorne Lucier, brother-in-law Jack Dilling (Verna), and sister-in-law Sharon Paul. She held a special place in her heart for her many nieces and nephews: Kimberly, Alita, Kevin Paul; Jason and Joanne Paul; Laurie and Cindy Paul; and Jennifer Paul.
Rosella was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Victoria Paul; her sons Dean Picard and Doug Paul; siblings Lawrence Paul (Emily), Bud Paul, Harvey Paul, Nellie Lucier, Annette Lafournaise, and half-sister Lillian. She also mourned the loss of her nieces Wilma Lafournaise, Karen Martin, and nephew Collin Paul.
Rosella’s life was a testament to the strength and warmth of a loving mother and matriarch. Her kindness, resilience, and unwavering love for her family will remain in the hearts of those who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories and unconditional love.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Viewing was held Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at 7:00 pm at Sneath-Strilchuk Roblin Chapel. Funeral mass was held Thursday, June 5, 2025 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church with interment taking place in Roblin Catholic Cemetery. Donations in Rosellas honour can be made to Diabetes Canada (401 - 1 Wesley Ave., Winnipeg MB R3C 4C6).
