Ron Bazylo Obituary

Ron Bazylo, resident of Dauphin, MB, died peacefully on February 11, 2020 at the age of 64 after losing a brief battle with cancer.
Ron is survived by his children; eldest daughter, Tamara Sagert, her children Megan and Teagan; son, Darryl Bazylo and wife Shauna along with their children Brynn and Rhea.; and his youngest daughter, Taylor Bazylo.; also, survived by his brothers; Richard and wife Evelyn Bazylo, Wayne Bazylo and Florence Burdeny; and his many nieces and nephews, and his special friend Georgina Hewey. He is predeceased by his parents Dan and Mary Bazylo, his sister, Francis Korman and his son Dean Bazylo.
Ron was born in Dauphin, MB on December 13, 1955. He attended University of Manitoba where he was on the Dean’s Honor Roll for 4 years in a row and graduated with a Master’s Degree in Animal Science in 1979. His first job landed him in Alberta to work as an Agriculture Specialist in 1979.  After living in Alberta for several years, he moved his family back to Manitoba in 1990, as a Swine Specialist in Swan River, MB. He eventually moved back to Dauphin, MB in 2006 where he currently resided. He spent 41 years in the public sector serving in the Agriculture department and was really looking forward to his upcoming retirement.
Ron was a devoted father. He enjoyed being outdoors and throughout his years did a lot of fishing and camping with whoever would go with him. He also loved hockey and ended up being a huge fan of the Winnipeg Jets while still being devoted to the Edmonton Oilers. Ron was also the President of St. Georges Ukrainian Orthodox Church and part of the Young Men’s club. There really are no words to describe how good of a person he was to not only friends and family, but to everyone around him. The stories from everyone who knew him are always filled with laughter. R.B as he is known to many, will be deeply missed by his friends, family and everyone else who knew him.  

Prayers were offered on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at 7:00 pm from Sneath-Strilchuk Family Care Centre in Dauphin, MB.

Funeral Service was held on Monday, February 17, 2020 at 10:00 am from St. George's Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Dauphin, MB with Rev. Father Brent Kuzyk officiating.  Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery in Dauphin, MB.  Pallbearers were Trevor Bazylo, Danny  Bazylo, Jason Bazylo, Kyle Bazylo, Kelly Korman, Kelvin Korman.
