Rhoda "Verone" (Kemp) Drozda

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Verone Drozda May 3, 2022 at the age of 78.

Verone was predeceased by her parents Evelynn (Greenslode) Kemp and Richard Ernest Kemp and her sister Tennice (Kemp) Gagen.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 57 years Lawrence; 2 daughters Cindy (Stuart) and Lauril (Tim); 1 grandson Kyle; 2 granddaughters Toni (Derrick) and Stephanie (Albert); 1 great grandson Zachary; 2 great granddaughters Keira and Sadie.  Niece Carla (Greg) Clifford and nephew Kevin (Sally) Gagen; great niece Kylie and great nephew Bryson. Honourary sister Rose Hines and honourary niece Linda Hines.

Verone enjoyed spending time with her family.  She also enjoyed going to the lake and spending time with her friends.  She always looked forward to travelling with her husband to visit relatives and vacation.  She was  a very proud wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt.

Verone spent the last few weeks in the Dauphin General Hospital where she passed away peacefully with her family surrounding her.  She is going to be greatly missed by all who's lives she touched.

Verone's family would like to thank Dr. Mathison and all the staff on the second floor who did an amazing job in looking after our loved one in her final days.

Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 11:00 am from Sneath-Strilchuk Family Care Centre in Dauphin, MB with Fr. Jared Driscoll officiating.  Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery in Dauphin, MB.  Pallbearers were Stuart Schwarz, Derrick Sowtis, Albert Cseh, Zach Chaput, Norman Leschasin, Louis Kwiatkowski, Reginald Hickmott.
