Raymond "Ray" Shiner Obituary

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Raymond "Ray" Shiner of Roblin, MB who passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020 at the age 69 years. 

Raymond Merle Shiner resided in the RM of Shell River, Manitoba. Raymond farmed for many years and later became a trucker hauling hay, logs and had a talent for fixing semis. He was a quiet, hardworking guy who always had a project on the go.  

Raymond and his first wife, Sandra (who passed away in 1996) had two sons together, Cory and Scott. Raymond later met MaryAnn who also had two sons from her previous marriage, William and Weran Thomas. Later Raymond and MaryAnn got married. MaryAnn was a homemaker and was also a big help to Ray when he needed her. 

Left to survive are Ray’s wife, MaryAnn; four sons, Cory, Scott, William and Weran; brothers, Dave and Les; sisters, Judith Donaldson and Karen DeLong and 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Ray was predeceased by his first wife, Sandra; parents, Millie and Harold and son, Darwin.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at 11:00 am at the Bield Hall with Pastor Heath Butler officiating. Interment followed at the Bield Cemetery. Pallbearers were Marvin Ferguson, Carson Cockerill, Brendan Shiner, Craig Shiner, Tim  Shiner and Corey Bowley and Honorary Pallbearers were Ray's family and friends.
