Randal Ironstand

With great sadness we announce the passing of Randal Ironstand on Thursday, August 31, 2021.  

Randal was a beloved son, father, brother, uncle and so on. Randal was born and raised in Yorkton. He was a spiritual man who was proud of his culture and traditions. He loved to learn new things and took many classes to further his education, he used to say “I can see myself all dressed up with a briefcase and on my way to teach a class of some kind”. He was so book smart like that, he had it in him to become a professor if he wanted. Randal was always laughing and most importantly enjoyed making others laugh. He loved to joke around. He was a very proud, kind hearted and respectful man. Randal was an all-around family man who never departed anywhere without saying “I love you”.

Randal was survived by his first born son, Jerome McKay, one and only daughter, Jordyn McKay and his baby son, Boston Bear Rasch.

Randal was also survived by his many nieces and nephews. Whom he loved very much. He also loved and was loved by many uncles, aunties, cousins, friends and mentors.

Traditional Wake was Friday, September 3, 2021 at 4:00 pm (MB Time) Tootinaowaziibeeng First Nation Hall Tootinaowaziibeeng, MB and Funeral Service was held Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 11:00 am (MB Time) with interment following in the Tootinaowaziibeeng First Nation Cemetery
