Philip Kondra Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Philip Kondra on April 6, 2021 at the age of 96 years at the Dauphin Personal Care Home with his family by his side. Philip Kondra was born April 11, 1924 and was in his 96th year, just days shy of his 97th birthday.

Philip was predeceased by his wife Mary on July 22, 2005, his parents Wasyl & Dora Kondra, oldest brother Freddie at age 3, sister Mary as an infant, and brother John Kondra.

He is survived by one sister Helen Yarema, 5 children - Jean & Terry Goshulak, Gilbert Plains, Sylvia & Bill Mandziuk, Gilbert Plains, Bill & Linda Kondra, of Dauphin, Jim Kondra and Ilda Viverios of Winnipeg, Bernice & John Lesiuk, Calgary. 8 grandchildren - Shauna and Bryan Ash, Gilbert Plains, Tyral & Jonathon Solski of Gilbert Plains, Carla & Greg Momotiuk of Dauphin, Cory & Patty Mandziuk of Gilbert Plains, Dayna & Chris Latcham of Brandon, Davin & Danita Kondra of Brandon, Tanya Lesiuk of Barcelona Spain, Tiffany & Eugene Gogowich of Okotoks AB. 9 Great Grandchildren - Theron & Abbie Ash of Dauphin, Travin Ash, and Kali & Taedyn Solski all of Gilbert Plains, Bradi & Zoey Latcham and, Rylan Philip Kondra of Brandon, Cash & Chloe Gogowich of Okotoks AB. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

The family would like to sincerely thank all the family, staff, doctors, and all the nurses who cared for Philip.

With Covid restrictions in place, a private family service was held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 from Sneath-Strilchuk Family Care Centre in Dauphin, MB with Rev. Karen Kuzek officiating. Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery in Dauphin, MB.
