It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Peter Prytula. Peter passed away the evening of October 10th, 2020 in Brandon, MB.
Peter was born May 27th, 1937 in Dauphin, MB. He was the third child of 6 born to John and Annie (née Grysiuk).
Peter was predeceased by his parents John and Annie, his brother Mike, his brother Steve and Steve’s wife Elsie, his son Kenny, and his great-nephew Bradley.
He is survived by his wife Lydia (née Tokar), his daughter Karen (Kenneth) Jeffers, his grandchildren Patrick and Morgan, his great-grandson Tiberius, his sister-in-law Freda (Mike), sister Rosalyn, brother Walter (Barb), sister Sylvia (Gene) Chambers, brother-in-law Steve (Florence) Tokar, Sophie (Joe) Espada and countless nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Peter will be remembered for his sense of humour, pride in his work and his love of family. He will be missed.
The family would like to thank neighbours, friends and family for the expressions of condolences. We would also like to thank the homecare workers for their care of Peter over the last few years of his life. Special thanks to Dr. Mohamed and the 4th floor nursing staff of the Brandon Regional Health Centre for their special care of Peter during the final days of his life. Finally, we would like to thank Father Brent Kuzyk for his continued spiritual guidance as well as the cantors of St. George's Orthodox Church.
A Private Graveside Service & interment will be held for Peter from the Chatsworth Cemetery in Gilbert Plains with Rev. Father Brent Kuzyk officiating.
