Peter Marchak

November 27, 1933 – June 26, 2022

Pete was born in the RM of Dauphin to Wasyl and Anna Marchak. He passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022 at the age of 88.

Pete attended country school until Grade 8 and then went to help on the farm and begin his working career. He worked with heavy construction equipment, ran machines in the bakery and was a mechanic for most of his life. Even in retirement he never stopped working on motors or electrical items.

He married Joyce Lunsted and they had three children: Kelly, Jeff and Glenn. They parted ways in the 70s.

Pete enjoyed the simple things in life. A lot of time was spent at the lake. Many fun times were had boating, fishing and waterskiing with family and friends. Drives in the country often involved stops to help fix farm machinery or just visit. He also enjoyed curling for many years.

Pete was predeceased by his parents, his sister Olga Tkachuk and brother Alex.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Kelly Ganchar (Don), sons Jeff (Jackie) Marchak and Glenn (Donna) Marchak, grandchildren Jenna, Keegan, Jordan, Jennifer and Chelsea, great grandchildren Keyarrah, Zaida, Stephen, Ryezell, Dawson and Cole, and brothers Mike (Florence), Joe and Paul (Ann).

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take on July 18, 2022 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at the Best western Meeting Room.
