Pearline Bryce Obituary

Obituary for Pearline Bryce (nee McDonald)  With deep sorrow, the family of Pearline Bryce, age 78, announces her journey to the spirit world on April 18, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Pearline was born on September 20, 1947, in Ste. Rose du Lac, Manitoba, and spent her life as a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She will be deeply missed by the siblings she leaves behind, and we take comfort in knowing she has reunited in the spirit world with her siblings, her parents, and other family members who have gone before her.

As a single parent, Pearline raised six children: Cimeron (Mary), Percy (Claire), Roseanne (Dwayne), Robert (Laine), Claudette (Rick), and Hannah (Bryan). To support these hoodlums, she worked tirelessly as a hotel waitress, to ensure that her children had everything they needed. Her unwavering strength, resilience, and nurturing spirit were the foundation of our family. Mom instilled in us the values of love, perseverance, responsibility and humour — things that have shaped us into the adults we are today.

Pearline was not only a mother to her children but also a cherished grandmother to 26 grandchildren and a great-grandmother to 18 great-grandchildren and numerous grand-pets. She also had a big heart for anyone who became part of her family through marriage (official or otherwise) — she loved and claimed them as her own children and grandchildren, whether they liked it or not. Her home was always filled with laughter, warmth, and the joyous sounds of family gatherings. She had an extraordinary ability to make each grandchild feel special; her stories, hugs, and homemade meals will be sorely missed. In addition to her role as a mother and grandmother,

Mom enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including bowling, crocheting, knitting, reading romance novels, and playing bingo. She touched the lives of many through her kindness and willingness to help others.

She also had a couple of go-to lines that never failed to make us laugh — “Later Gator” and a perfectly-timed “Yeah Right.” And because she hated goodbyes, it was never really goodbye… it was always “See ya later” and “Love you.”

Mom will forever be remembered for her loving heart, unwavering strength, and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind in her children and family. Until we meet again.
