Paul Stadnyk

Paul Stadnyk was born on November 4, 1939, in Ethelbert, MB to Nick and Dora Stadnyk, the youngest of nine children. He passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025. The family moved from rural Sifton to a farm north of Gilbert Plains when Paul was a young boy. He farmed with his father and brothers until his brother’s left home to find work. Paul continued farming with his father until his parents and Paul moved into Gilbert Plains. Paul took on many jobs from bartender, hauling cattle to Winnipeg and bear baiting for his brother Leonard in Ontario.

He married Carol Mischuk on August 1, 1987. His stepchildren, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the love of this life.

Paul and Carol enjoyed several bus tours to Florida, California, the Black Hills, Arizona, the Maritimes, Montreal and Quebec. Many car trips were taken to Kimberly, Ontario, Alberta, Calgary and British Columbia.

Paul was predeceased by his parents Dora and Nick Stadnyk; siblings Mary, Josie, Kay, Leonard, Edna, Joe and Gladys; his brothers-in-law Stan Star, Mike Kotyk, Peter Huska, Ralph Rolo, Henry Buffington and Walter Sanko and sister-in-law Lorna. 

He will always be remembered by his wife Carol and his adopted family Barb and Bob Balak; Aislyn and Brett Brooks; Darcy and Janey James; Deegan, Angel, Granger and Kye James; Gavin, Jasmine and Hartley James; Colby and Pyper James; sister Anne; sister-in-law Sylvia along with many nieces and nephews.

The family will celebrate Paul's life privately.
