Patricia Campbell Obituary

Suddenly at her home in Winnipegosis on December 14, 2025, at the age of 72, Patricia Alexandria Irene Campbell (nee Mowat) was called home to Heaven.

Patricia leaves to mourn the love of her life and husband of 45 years Ray Campbell; her 3 children Ryan, Jonathan (Ashley) and her “baby” James; grandchildren whom she loved and adored Jackson, Hannah, Austin, Lennox and Hendrix; her mother Ila Mowat; nephew Kael Mowat and niece Stevie - Rae Mowat.

Patricia also leaves to mourn her aunts Yvonne Arthurson and Nancy Bayer; her in laws Laurie Favell, Brian (Sarah) Campbell, Brenda (Peter) Vanderwiel, Vera (Wayne) Drabik along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Patricia was predeceased by her father Patrick Mowat; brother Jon Mowat and nephew Devonne Favell-Mowat.

Patricia was born on July 31, 1953, in Norway House, Manitoba to Ila Bayer and Patrick Mowat where she lived until she was 10 years old before moving to Winnipeg where she graduated from Brooklands Collegiate a year early due to being academically advanced which she was very proud of. Patricia had various employment positions throughout her life working at NCI radio station in Thompson, a dental hygienist, an accountant, a home care aid and support worker with Child and Family Services.

Patricia met Ray in Thompson, Manitoba in March of 1980 where they settled to start their family and raised their 3 boys and stayed there until 1998 before moving to Winnipegosis. Shortly after they moved to Selkirk where she became a grandmother for the first time in 2009 following the births of Jackson and Hannah.

In her later years, Patricia and Ray decided to move back to Winnipegosis where she loved spending time with Ray, making new friends, visiting with them, and playing bingo on Saturday’s. Patricia also loved going to the Knox Presbyterian Church in Winnipegosis on Sunday’s with Ray where they shared their faith with their church family and Minister Pat Langlois. Patricia also loved going for coffee and lunch at the Mossey River Inn after service.

Patricia always loved phoning her sons, her mother and her aunts daily to check in multiple times a day. Mom was the rock of our family, she loved her family whole heartedly, she worried about her children and grandchildren constantly, mom will be deeply and forever missed by everyone who knew her!

“Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever”. - Psalm 23:6

The family would like to thank the first responders from Winnipegosis and Dauphin who tried to save Mom’s life.

Cremation has taken place and a burial will be held in Selkirk at a later date.
