Nick Fiarchuk of Grandview, Manitoba, passed away peacefully on January 6th, 2026 at the age of 90. Born in Strathclair, Manitoba on October 5th, 1935, Nick was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend to many.
At the age of 22, Nick moved to Grandview, Manitoba. In the year of 1976, he married the love of his life Iris and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and precious memories. He proudly farmed his whole life even from a young age. His love for the land and animals was unwavering, and he spent his days tending to his fields and working with cattle. Throughout his life Nick had a deep passion for the outdoors. He found joy in hunting, camping and fishing. However, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family creating lasting bonds and unforgettable moments with those he held dear.
Nick was a pillar of his community, serving as the Ward 1 Council member of Grandview for an impressive 34 years. His dedication to public service and commitment to improving the lives of those around him will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Nick will be dearly missed by his beloved wife Iris Fiarchuk; devoted son Bert Kozakowski (Diana); grandson Tyler Kozakowski (Lana) and adored great-grandson Alekzander Kozakowski; granddaughter Brittney Layh (Greg) along with their two daughters, his precious great-granddaughters Talia and Chloe Layh; brother Frank Fiarchuk (Deloris) and sisters Teenie Yaniu and Sophie Colwell (Frank).
Nick Fiarchuk will be remembered for his kind heart, strong work ethic and unwavering love for his family.
May he rest in peace knowing that he was truly loved and will be forever cherished in the hearts of those he touched.
