Nellie Stolarchuk Obituary

It is with great sadness we announce that our beloved mother, sister, sister in law, aunt, grandmother/baba, Nellie Stolarchuk of Dauphin, Manitoba formerly of Roblin, Manitoba, passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at the age of 80 years, at Brandon Regional Hospital with her children were at her side.
Nellie was born in Petlura on March 25, 1939 and married John Stolarchuk on July 29, 1961 in Lennard, then moved to Roblin where they made their home and raised their family and in 2016, Nellie moved to St. George’s Place in Dauphin.
Nellie was predeceased by her husband, John on November 12, 2006; her parents, Mike and Mary Mykolaishyn; her siblings, Martha, Harry, Rose, Peter, and Jean.
She is survived by her beloved brother, Douglas (Sylvia) of Dauphin, her cherished three children and their families, daughter, Sharon (Doug Bayne) of Winnipeg and her sons, Mitch (Lynn) of St. Albert, and Ken (Sally) of Vancouver and her treasured grandchildren, Kelly (Mel), Cam, Jordan, Kyle, Jennifer (Clayton) and Allison. Nellie was very grateful for every kindness and consideration shown to her by family and friends both in good times and bad. Gratitude also for the exceptional support and care given by Cathy.
Nellie loved to cook and could make 40 dozen perogies before dawn! Her happiest memories were fishing with John and searching for morels, camping with her children, socializing with friends and family and participating with John in the National Ukrainian Festival Choir and the Ukrainian Orthodox Millennium Choir.
Nellie was most faithful, passionate and dedicated in serving the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St. John in Roblin, where she fulfilled her spiritual being and made many close friends from this part of her life.
