Nellie Camelia (Arnold) Hrushowy

Nellie Hrushowy of Dauphin, Manitoba passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at the age of 86 years with family by her side. 

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two daughters Sandra and Jo-ann, one son Delmar and wife Caroline.  Also to cherish her memory are her sisters Anne Ingram, Grace Genik, and sister-in-law Edna Arnold, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband Paul Hrushowy, her daughter Lana and son Kenneth, her parents Gordon and Edith Arnold, one brother Bill Arnold.
 
Nellie was born June 19th, 1933 at Crawford Park, MB, receiving her education at Lake Audy School.
 Paul and Nellie were married in 1951.  They began their life together in the Bicton Heath District.  They enjoyed farming.  Nellie was a good gardener.  She worked very hard with her husband on the farm.  Paul drove a school bus for 20 years.  In 1986, they retired from the farm and moved to Dauphin, MB.  Mom loved her family very dearly and would do anything to help them.  She had a very generous heart, Mom always thought of others before herself.  Mom & Dad enjoyed the special privilege of having meetings in their home.  This meant everything to Mom  & Dad.
 
Above what Nellie enjoyed in this life, the Highlight and Best in life came when she embraced the glorious Gospel of Jesus, at the age of 14 years.  It was lived and sent by two of God's True Ministers giving the gospel freely to her as well as others.  It brought peace and joy and stability all her days and a living hope for Eternity.  She loved God dearly and served God right until her passing.
 
The family will be forever grateful for the amazing care and compassion that Mom received from the wonderful staff at the McCreary Personal Care Home over the past five years she spent there. Special thanks to Dr. Soile for her special care and help to Mom.  Many thanks to Lynda Slawinski for her weekly visits. We also thank our ministers and friends that visited Mom and Sandra.  It was truly all a labor of love.
 
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Nellie may be made to the McCreary/Alonsa Personal Care Home in McCreary.
 
A Funeral Service was held for Nellie on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 11:00 am from the Sneath-Strilchuk Family Care Centre in Dauphin.  

Interment followed in the Riverside Cemetery - Dauphin.
