Nadia Emily (Kozar) Quimper

It is with great sadness and affection that we say goodbye to Nadia Quimper (Kozar) who passed away
on March 31, 2024, in the hometown she grew up in. Nadia was born in Ethelbert, Manitoba on March
2, 1941, to her parents Nick Kozar and Lena Kozar (Hykawy). She is survived by her brother Jim (Areta)
and her daughters Lesa (Lorne), Dianne (Terry) and Denise (Kevin). Her grandchildren Sheldon, Steven,
Hannah and Brett were very important to her, and she took pride in each one of them.

Nadia had worked over the years as a hair stylist, but her true passion was painting. She also loved
animals. She loved to socialize, enjoyed meeting up with her friends at bingos and was always involved
in sports such as baseball and curling. She had a great sense of humor. She met our father John in
Winnipeg and had the opportunity to travel across Canada living on military bases. She also did some
traveling to Florida and Montana.

Nadia will be missed for her kindness by those who had the opportunity to meet her. She was very
supportive of her work colleagues. As a mother and grandmother (Baba) she always took the time to be
there for special occasions and cherished moments. She loved being at the farm and said she felt like
she was on a permanent holiday when she moved back to the farm in 2003 to help her elderly parents.
She loved her family and she worked hard to be the best mother for her girls. She truly appreciated all
the support she received from those in her later life.

A graveside funeral will be held at Garland Union Cemetery on Friday May 17, 2024 at 10 am,
followed by a lunch at the Drop In Senior Centre in Ethelbert at noon, and for a visit with family and friends.
