Muriel Bernice Thwaites

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Muriel Bernice Thwaites. She passed away in her sleep at Neepawa Hospital on Saturday May 9, 2026.

She leaves behind a loving husband Herman Thwaites, and daughters: Louise Thwaites (Merv), Linda Thwaites, Katherine Thwaites, Joy Nemetz (Stacy), grandchildren Justin, David, Kayla, James, Matthew, Hailee, Dalton, Dylan, Karl as well as 8 great grandchildren which she adored.

Muriel also leaves behind foster brothers and sisters and friends too numerous to mention. Muriel will be missed and but never forgotten living in our hearts always.

Muriel was pre-deceased by her mother Doreen Sanderson, father Fredrick Sanderson, brothers Hugh Sanderson, Lyle Sanderson.

Throughout Muriel’s life she took great pleasure cooking for friends and family during any occasion spending time with her husband & family. She enjoyed traveling both locally and across Canada usually visiting her daughters and the friends she made over the years. Muriel would often call and check up on people just to see how they were doing. You could also find Muriel at the bingo playing socializing at any bingo hall with friends both new and old. She was always up for meeting new people.
