Morris Yarema

Morris Yarema of Dauphin, Manitoba passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at the age of 86 years.

Morris was born October 21, 1935 in Dauphin Hospital to Andrew and Helen Yarema. Growing up in Fishing River he went to Norton School. He favored going on big picnic events and dances with family. In 1963, Morris met Verna, the love of his life. Two years later they were married in Fork River. The happy couple started a grain farm, progressing to having many types of animals for decades to come. In 1972 their first son, Dwayne was born, with their second son, Darrell to follow in 1978. He made sure he taught his sons very valuable life lessons all the time as they each grew up.  As time progressed, he built a house for his family with the help of many close friends and family. While farming, he also did carpentry work for many people in the surrounding area. Morris was also involved with the Knights of Columbus, bringing his family to help with various events, enjoying the company of all the people and making fabulous friends for life. 
Morris also loved to serve beside the many priests over the years in the Sifton Parish. He was also in charge of the Fishing River Church and Cemetery. Morris would take his wife and children for vacations to the United States as they grew up. When the eldest son left the nest, he always took time to pack up everything and go visit. Winnipeg at first, then to Toronto, making them spectacular and memorable vacations. In 2012 Morris and Verna sold their farm and moved to Dauphin. Morris passed away August 31, 2021. We will all miss his jokes, laughter and smile. May he Rest in Peace, we trust in God to keep him happy until we see him again. 
Morris was predeceased by brothers, John and Willard; sisters, Kay and Olivia. He is survived by his wife, Verna and their two sons, Dwayne and Darrell. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. 

Prayers were offered on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 6:30 pm from Sneath-Strilchuk Family Care Centre in Dauphin, MB.

Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 10:30 am from Sneath-Strilchuk Family Care Centre in Dauphin, MB with Very Rev Father Oleg Bodnarski officiating.  Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery - Dauphin in MB.
