Monique Hopfner (née Péloquin)
Monique passed away on October 26, 2024, in Dauphin, MB.
Monique grew up in the french community of St. Pierre, MB before moving to Winnipeg and starting her career as a flight attendant. Being a flight attendant supported her adventurous and independent spirit and also her love of travel. Monique had particularly fond memories of Paris, France where she spent quality time with her aunt. When Monique fell in love with Dale, she chose Ste. Rose du Lac, MB as home and the place to raise her family. She loved her family and shone with pure joy at any opportunity with time spent with her siblings and in-laws.
Monique is survived by her husband, Dale; her sons, Curtis (Adina), Jeremy (Tianna), Steven (Jaimie); her grandchildren, Haylie, Callum, Marshall, Ayva, Emmalyn, Raeya; and her siblings, Claude (Diane), René (Lynne), Jocelyn (Leo), Marcelle (Robert), Rosemarie (Glenn), Paule (Jim).
Monique’s final wishes were that no formal service would be held. A private gathering of family will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the local charity of your choice.
The family sincerely appreciates all of your well wishes and support at this difficult time.
