Mike Tkachyk

It is with great sadness that the family of Mike Tkachyk announce his passing on August 5,2025 at the age of 92.

Mike was born in Meadowlands Manitoba on November 4, 1932 to Dmytro Tkachyk and Anna Dubetsky. 

In 1963, Mike married Lorette Fortin and they resided in Winnipegosis where their son Keith was born. In 1966 the family moved to Dauphin and the following year they welcomed the birth of their daughter Michele. 

Mike was employed at Tordon Enterprises and later Ready Mix of Dauphin. 

Mike was pre deceased by his parents Dmytro Tkachyk and Anna Dubetsky, brothers William, Alec, Harry, Nick and Peter. He is survived by his sister Eva Gosselin. 

Mike leaves  to mourn his passing and cherish many fond memories;  his wife Lorette, son Keith and wife Frances, daughter Michele and husband Sheldon Birss, grandchildren Raif Tkachyk, Rhett Tkachyk, Drew (Katrina) Birss, and Rebecca Birss.

Funeral Service was held on Monday, August 18, 2025 at 10:00 am from Sneath-Strilchuk Family Care Centre in Dauphin, MB with Very Rev Father Oleg Bodnarski officiating. 

Interment followed in the Riverside Cemetery.
