Melvin Rewniak Obituary

Melvin (Myroslav) Rewniak passed away on February 24, 2021 at the age of 83 years.

He was born on the family farm in Ukraina on June 26, 1937.  He went to the country school in Ukraina. At 14 years old he left home to live with his sister in Winnipeg.  He completed odd jobs and would eventually became a gifted cabinet maker.  This career took he and his family to Edmonton, where they lived until his retirement.

He married the love of his life Adeline in 1959.  They had six children together, Judy, Glen, Darlene, David, Darryl and Dennis.  Melvin was a hard worker, a kind man and very generous to a fault.  He would help anyone with anything.  He was a loving husband and father and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Adeline; children Judy (Norman), Glen (Vera), Darlene (Ronald), Hurrie, David (Melanie), Darryl and Dennis; grandchildren Charles, Melanie, Thomas, Seth, Tiffany, Layla and Grace; four great grandchildren; siblings Victor Rewniak, Sylvia Paskaruk, Elizabeth Baliant, Fred (Lilly) Rewniak, Sonia Rewniak.

Melvin was predeceased by his parents; siblings David, Walter, Peter, Karl, Mary Hurrie, Orest, Rose Kidd; sister-in-law Nadine Rewniak, and other extended family.

In accordance with Melvin's wishes cremation has taken place.
