Mary (Krause) Keith

With great sadness we announce the passing of Mary Keith on February 13, 2019 at the age of 90 years.

Mary was born to John and Maria Krause on August 8, 1928 in Niverville, MB.  As a child Mary loved ice skating and playing softball.  She enjoyed reading and excelled in her studies.
Mary started dating Allan Keith the winter of 1946-47. They were married November 27th, 1948.  In the fall of 1971 Allan, Mary and their 6 youngest children moved from Niverville to Dauphin.
One her children were all in school, Mary volunteered as a member of the Dauphin Cub Scout Group committee, the Ladies Auxiliary for Cubs and Boy Scouts and Prairie Mountain District Scout Council.  Most years she hold office with these groups, she Was usually in charge of banquets and often cooked for Cub Scout Camps.  Mary was also active with Hydro Ex and the Dauphin Arthritis Society.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Earl (Sue), Jean (Jim) LoVerde, Darlene (Floyd) Cottrell, Rodney 9Carmen), Ken (Barb), Barry (Laurie), Corey (Leann); her 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; her sister Dorothy Kehler and numerous nieces and nephews.  Mary was predeceased by her husband Allan, Her son Bruce, her parents John and Maria Krause and 2 brothers Johann and John Krause.

A sincere thank you to all the staff of Dauphin Regional Health Centre who took care of Mary during her stay.  If friends so desire donations in memory of Mary may be made to the Arthritis Society of Manitoba or to a charity of their choice.

A time of Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 24th, 2019 from 7:00 - 8:00 pm at  Sneath-Strilchuk Family Care Centre in Dauphin, MB. 

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 11:00 am from Sneath-Strilchuk Family Care Centre in Dauphin, MB with Pastor Scott Allen officiating.  Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Dauphin, MB.  Pallbearers will be Laara Keith, Bailey Keith Ashleigh Keith, Keith Cottrell, Michael LoVerde, Justin Keith, Jeremy Keith.
