Marvin Chartrand

Marvin Chartrand passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on April 24, 2022. He fought for 5 years with cancer and finally was relieved of all his pain and suffering.

Marvin was born and raised in Duck Bay, MB. He grew up around the lake and knew it well. Marvin was a fisherman all his life until he moved to Winnipeg to receive treatment.

Marvin is survived by his children, Marvin Chartrand, Chris Kipling, Dean Thompson (Bobby-Lee), Cory Chartrand (Sabrina). His grandchildren Jason Oulette, Justice Nepinak, Shyanne Chartrand, Sonavan Kipling, Chirstopher Oulette, Julianne Bannon, Robert Kipling, Vince Kipling, Jade Bannon, Chloe Bannon, Naomi Bannon and 7 great grandchildren.

Marvin’s funeral services was held in Duck Bay, his wake was held on Saturday, May 7 at 6 pm at the Duck Bay Hall. Celebration of life was Sunday, May 8 at 11am with burial to follow.
