Mark McDonald Obituary

Mark McDonald of Crane River, Manitoba passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025 at the age of 45 years.

Mark was raised in Crane River with his childhood friends. He loved fishing, hunting (bear, moose ducks and geese) and playing pool. He also square danced growing up and loved jigging.
He was very passionate about his drywall work. Along with his son, he travelled all over the northern reserves.
He loved teasing his sisters to get them mad (LOL) and then he would laugh at them. He had a special bond with his granddaughter Ivy and he was proud of his first grandson Justice. He was very excited when Alaia was born. He called everyone on FaceTime saying “I’m a grandpa again”.
Mark was predeceased by his dad John Edward Bull; grandparents Clifford Bull, Cecilia Bull, George McDonald and Marie McDonald; uncles Steve McDonald, Mark McDonald and Ernest Bull; aunties Carolyn Bull, Mabel Bull and Susan McDonald; cousins Lyle Bull, Lily Bull, Laura Bull Brenda McDonald and Devin Mckay.
Mark is survived by his wife Malissa Neault; children Ashton, Jacelyn (Ryan), Emily (Austin) Marissa and Chantel; stepsons Dawson (Terri- Ann) and R.J.; grandchildren Justice, Ivy, Alaia and Maverick; mom Annette Chartrand (William); siblings Cheri McDonald (Alfred), Crystal (George), Gavin McDonald, Cerina Bull, Clarissa Bull (B.J.) and Vanessa.

Our dad was our safe place, our guiding light,
the one who held us when the world felt too heavy,
and who showed us how to laugh, even in hard times.
Though he carried burdens we could not see,
his love was always with us —
quiet, steadfast, and strong.
We remember his stories, his warmth,
the little ways he made life brighter,
and the comfort of just being near him.
His journey ended too soon,
and the emptiness he leaves is profound.
We mourn the hugs, the laughter, the moments we will never have again.
And yet, in our sorrow, we hold onto love —
love that shaped us, love that never fades,
love that keeps him alive in our hearts.
Our dad is gone from our sight,
but he will remain in our hearts,
in every memory, every shared story
and in the love that surrounds us still.
You are deeply missed, forever cherished,
and always, always loved.
