Margaret Anne (Abercrombie) Morran

Marg Morran passed away peacefully at the Grandview Personal Care Home November 17, 2022 surrounded by family members.

Marg was born January 21, 1932 in Grandview, MB to Bill & Isabella Abercrombie.  She was raised on the family farm in Duck Mountain District along with her seven siblings.  She attended Duck Mountain and Grandview schools.  After finishing school Marg worked in the town of Grandview for a short time.

On November 29, 1950 Marg married the love of her life Alex Morran.  They lived on the family farm and together they raised a family of four, Heather, Karen, Ian & Robert.

In 1989 they retired to the town of Grandview.  

Marg was a member of Morranville-Wicklow Ladies Hospital Auxiliary, Grandview Legion Ladies Auxiliary, 4-H Sewing leader, and member of Anglican Church WA.

Marg is survived by her children Heather (Tony), Karen (Rick), Ian, and Robert;  grandchildren Jeff (Denise), Melanie, Lisa (Bruce), Warren (Shannon), step-grandson Kevin (Jenna); great grandchildren Dalton (Erika) & Ben, Wynn, Payton & Nicolas, Nolan & Owen; great great grandchildren Owen & Harper; sister - Wilda, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Marg is predeceased by husband Alex, parents Bill & Isabella, son-in-law Walter, daughter-in-law Vivian, siblings and spouses Dave (Shirley), Isabel (Bruce), Betty (Jack), June (Arnold), Sheena (George), Donnie (Mary Ann) & Glen.  Also in-laws Bert & Maggie Morran, Ina (Jim, Lenoard), Hilda (Norman), Lola (George), Al (Gladys), Nell (Dennis), Ed (Bun), Verda (Alton) and Florence (Bernie).

Memorial Service was held on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at 2:00 pm from Grandview Kinsmen Community Center in Grandview, MB with Rev. Karen Kuzek officiating.  Interment followed in Grandview Memorial Gardens & District Cemetery in Grandview, MB.
