Margaret Helen Levasseur 

Margaret passed away peacefully on May 11, 2023 after a lengthy and courageous battle with lung issues.

Margaret (Margo) was born on October 11, 1972 to Robert and Delia Levasseur in McCreary, Manitoba.

Margo was predeceased by Raymond Levasseur, Cecile Beaulieu, Marie Levasseur. She is survived by her 3 children Kayne, Ikeda and Dawson and her 3 grandchildren Jayce, Stacia, and Junior, her siblings Leslie, David, Walter, Linda, Loretta, Earl, Greta, Marlene, Victoria, Rhoda, May, Donna, Robert, Jackie, Radford (Priscilla), Edgar, Marshall, Aaron and numerous nieces and nephews.

Margo completed her GED at Yellowquill college in 1995 and received her Dental Therapist Diploma in 1999. After graduating she started her first job as a dental therapist at the Battleford’s Agency Tribal Chiefs Inc. in North Battleford, Saskatchewan in 2001, Over the span of 20 plus years, she worked in remote communities in Nunavut and the Northwest Territories. 

Besides spending time with her family and friends, she loved her job, travelling, camping, following the Pow Wow trails and music festivals. Margo took pride in her culture and heritage. She believed in advocating for Women’s and Children’s rights. She will be remembered as a very generous and kind hearted person who helped anyone who asked her, including the less fortunate. There was nothing too big or too small for Margo, she loved the challenge.  She was a kind, caring Mother to her children and adored her 3 grandchildren. She touched many lives around her and will be missed but not be forgotten.

Funeral Service for Margaret will be held on Saturday, May 20th at 2:00 pm in the Ebb and Flow Community Complex, Ebb and Flow First Nation.  A time of viewing and visitation will begin at 10:30 am at the community complex.  Interment will take place in the Ebb and Flow Cemetery.
