Marcel Grégoire

With heavy hearts, the family of Marcel Jean Joseph Romeal Gregoire announces his sudden passing on February 25, 2025, at the age of 78, in Mazatlán, Mexico.

Marcel is survived by his beloved wife Linda, his son Joel (Karleen); and his cherished grandchildren, Katlyn, Robbie, Danika, and Paxton. He was predeceased by his son, Sheldon and daughter, Kanene.

Born in Winnipeg and raised in Lorette, Manitoba, Marcel was the youngest of 21 children. He earned his Law degree from the University of Manitoba. In 1974 he married the love of his life, Linda, and together they settled in Roblin, where they built a life and raised their family.

Marcel had a strong sense of community and pride.  Whether on the ball diamond, the golf course, or enjoying coffee with friends, he brought warmth and connection to all he did. He participated in community organizations, church activities and various local groups.  He loved skiing, golfing, movies, music, karaoke and spending time with family.   

As Linda’s memory declined, Marcel remained her steady and devoted companion, walking beside her with unwavering love. Their peaceful walks through town became a treasured ritual.

Marcel will be remembered as a kind soul whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. 

A funeral mass was celebrated on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 2:00 pm from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Roblin, MB.  

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Roblin Community Foundation, if desired.
