Mabel (Caruk) Wingie

Mabel Wingie passed away in The Pas, MB on May 22, 2022 at the age of 81 years.

Mabel was born in Ethelbert, MB on June 9, 1940 to Annie and Mike Caruk and was predeceased by her father in 1955, her mother in 2008, her husband  John in 2009, her son Gerald in 2003, brother John and sister Olga.

Left to mourn her passing and cherish fond memories are her sons, Glenn and Chad, grandchildren Nicole (Matt) and Jase, great grandchildren Vraya and Grayson.  As well as sisters Hilda and Elsie, brothers Eddie and Ron.

Mabel lived in Garland and received her education at the Garland School.  She married John Wingie of Pine River, MB in 1962, where they farmed for 46 years.  They raised their 3 sons Glenn, Gerald and Chad as well as their grandchildren Nicole and Jase.

Mabel and John moved to Dauphin, MB in 2008.  After the passing of her husband John she moved to northern Manitoba to be with her family.

Should friends so desire, memorial donations in memory of Mabel may be made to the Alzheimer's Society.

Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 2:00 pm from Sneath-Strilchuk Family Care Centre in Dauphin, MB with Ilene Dowd officiating.  Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery in Dauphin , MB.  Pallbearers were Chad Wingie, Glenn Wingie, Jase Wingie, Matt Palubiski, Rick Prokopowich, Darian Caruk. Honourary pallbearers were Hilda Tymchyshyn, Eddie Caruk, Ron Caruk, Elsie Prokopowich, Elsie Shemeluk and Ray Tymchyshyn.
