It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Lucien Léo Joseph Assailly (PitPit) on Monday, August 4, 2025 at the age of 72.  

Lucien was born in Ste. Rose du Lac on June 20, 1953.  He was raised in Laurier by his parents Octave and Jeanne Assailly 

He married Christine Knight in 1979 and they have 3 sons Octave (Kelly), Léo (Michelle), Jamie (Kaitlyn) and 8 grandchildren Logan & Maddox, Marcus, Zoey and Octavia, Lucie, Cannon & Nash 

Lucien is survived by his siblings Germaine (Keith), Virginia (Ernie), Madeleine (Fernie). Rita (Randy), Joanne (Kirk), Robert (Orise) and his sister-in-law Cheryl.  

He was predeceased by his parents and his siblings Elaine, Ron, Noel and Olive.  

A Celebration of Life was held on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at 2:30 pm in the Laurier Community Centre, Laurier, MB
