Louis Allarie Obituary

On May 17, 2026, shortly after 10 pm, Louis Allarie passed away in his room at the Crocus Court Personal Care Home in Roblin, MB. Louis had spent his final day being surrounded and cared for by his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Louis was born April 8, 1937 in Boggy Creek, MB. He is predeceased by his parents, Lauria and Lena Allarie, his 2 brothers, Emil and Lyman, and his daughter-in-law, Charlotte Henry (Paul).

Louis is survived by his loving wife, Lorraine Allarie (Bouvier), their 3 sons, Bernard, Brian, and Micheal, as well as 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by his sister, Elvina (Wilkonson), and many nieces & nephews.

Louis had a number of vocations throughout his life. Throughout the years, Louis did the majority of his work in the great outdoors, where he loved to be. He was a logger, a trapper, a qualified log home builder, a farmer, a substitute school bus driver, and also preformed many other forms of general labour. For some years, he served as the chairperson for the San Clara & Boggy Creek Métis Local under the Manitoba Métis Federation.

Louis enjoyed anything to do with the outdoors, some of his favourite activities being hunting, fishing, looking for horns & antlers in the bush, picking berries, and tending to the home & yard with his wife. He also enjoyed curling for many years, having won an eight-ender with his team in Togo.

The family mourns the loss of a great man, and fondly cherishes their good memories with Louis. We will miss his presence and the love he held for his family.
