Linda Anderson Obituary

Linda Gail Kotak, the youngest daughter of Paul & Anne, was born Dec 30, 1953 in the Grandview Hospital.  She attended Grandview Public School to 1969 and High School till 1971.  After she quit school, she moved to Toronto and worked for a few years and then moved to Winnipeg where she met Jim.  They dated several years and got married on Nov 30, 1982.  They moved to British Columbia and lived on the Island in Port Alberni, Nanaimo and Lady Smith where Linda worked at several Black Press locations, a weekly newspaper and commercial flyer printer on Vancouver Island where she made many life-long friends.  Linda loved going for walks along the shore, watching the boats and scenic drives around the Island.
Linda and Jim enjoyed travelling to various locations over the years: Louisiana, Texas, Minneapolis and Whitehorse.
Linda and Jim retired in Pelly, SK in 2001 where she took great pride in her beautiful large and weed-less vegetable and flower gardens.  Linda loved her fur babies: Sam, Syd, Simon and Sandy and took great care of them.  Linda’s friendly smile and kind heart attracted many friends in Pelly and area.  She loved attending the 50 and over clubs in Pelly and Benito where she enjoyed socializing, playing cards and dances.  Linda’s favorite pastimes at home were watching curling, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, listening to her favorite music: oldies and  tuning into to GX94’s Saturday Night Get Together and cuddling with her beloved furry feline friends.
Family was very important to Linda her whole life.  She stayed in touch regularly by phoning her parents and sisters and other family whether they lived near or far.
Linda is lovingly remembered by her husband, Jim of 40 years, sister Delores Puchailo;  nephews Chuck Puchailo and Jason & Charlene Ryan; niece Lisa Luky & Greg Dyck.
Great Nephews:  Dusty Puchailo, Devon & Amanda Puchailo and children Carson, Aurillia, & Kellin;  Aaron Ryan & Delaine,  Josh Ryan & April and Serenity;   Brett Luky, son Kaden & Shalane Geertsema.  Great Nieces: Kayla Luky & Ian MacIntosh and children Forrest, Mavis and Etta; and Chenise Puchailo & Ken Kwan.
Linda is also fondly remembered by extended family and her Pelly friends. Brother in law Andy & Liz Anderson, sisters in Law, Lynn & Bill, and Katherine; niece & nephew Laura and Ian.
