LIAM SHEARER CRAIG

October 14, 2000 – October 25, 2025

Liam was born in Yorkton, Saskatchewan on October 14, 2000.He grew up on the family farm at Roblin, Manitoba. From the start, Liam’s easy smile and good-natured spirit made life brighter for everyone around him.

Liam loved the outdoors and the simple joys that came with it – playing baseball, fishing, snowmobiling, dirt biking, quadding, and golfing with family and friends. He was always game for whatever was going on, and his irresistible laugh filled every room he entered.

After graduation from Goose Lake High in 2019, Liam attended Saskatchewan Polytechnic in Regina, beginning his machinist apprenticeship and making friends along the way. In 2020, he joined the team at Penno’s Machining and Manufacturing in Eden, Manitoba, where his skill and steady nature made him a valued co-worker and friend. He attained his Red Seal Machinist designation in December 2024. He was proud of his work and the people he worked with.

He moved to Riding Mountain and enjoyed curling at the Riding Mountain Curling Club.

Liam was also deeply connected to life on the farm – raising his own cattle, helping through all the seasons, and fixing whatever needed fixing. He cared deeply for every animal and his gentle awareness and quiet compassion showed in everything he did.

Liam will forever be remembered and missed by his parents, Kevin and Allison, brother Calum; his Grandma Gladys Shearer; Aunt Brenda and Kevin Mantell, Sara and Jackson, Logan and Danee; Aunt Valerie and Shane Neifer, Malcolm and Leith; Uncle Colyn Craig and Rosyln Darroch, Declan and Paden;

Grandfather Roy Craig and wife, Marie.

He leaves behind countless friends and family who will always remember his laughter, kindness and the way he brought people together. Liam had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and for reminding us all to get along.

The family would like to thank Jim and Therese Mickelson for officiating and coordinating the service, and the many people who have reached out with support and condolences

A memorial service for Liam took place on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the Roblin Evangelical Mission Church, 55 Commercial Drive, Roblin, MB.
