Leona Chartrand

Leona Chartrand of Winnipegosis, Manitoba passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the age of 93 years.

Born on October 13, 1932 the youngest of seven children born to John and Joyce (Spence) Fleming.

She is survived by her 4 children Joyce (Bernie) Kehler, Theresa (Robert Keeper) Delaronde, Lionel (Tracy Hood) Chartrand, Bonnie (Larry) Chartrand and Daughter-in-law Loretta Chartrand; Grandchildren Ryan (Andrea), Lindsay (Celine), Amanda Brent (Danielle), Lori (Matt), Leanne, Devin, Shane (Pam), George (Melissa), Jason (Melanee), Kendall (Jessica), Albert (Charlene); Great grandchildren Riley (Kenzie), Brannon, Skyla, Trey, Kailen, Vayah, Braxen, Liam, Kaysn, Shyne, Ciara, Carson, Emi, Brody, Ena, Tate and Steven, plus many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Harry Chartrand; Brothers Tom, Raymond and Clarence; Sisters Grace, Margaret and Edith; Son-in-laws Larry Chartrand and Brian Delaronde.

A Celebration of Life was held for Leona on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 2:00 pm from the Elk's Hall in Winnipegosis with Rev. Pat Langlois officiating.  

Interment followed in the Winnipegosis & District Cemetery.
